Christmas present for boyfriend...guys i need your help!?

this is a question for all the guys out there. if your girlfriend made you something for your birthday or christmas and it didnt turn out very well, would you still love it? or just pretend to like it so you dont hurt her feelings? i made my boyfriend a blanket for christmas and it looks fine, just not very fancy and you can definitely tell its homemade. he has kind of expensive tastes and to top it off i just found out that his mother has been quilting blankets and things for him since he was a baby. im really intimidated now and im thinking of not even giving him the blanket i made. any suggestions or advice?
