Could David Cameron's 'allegiance' with Aston Villa give him that edge in the Midland's constituencies in 2010?

Whilst Gordon Brown probably won't gain anything because of his support for a minor Scottish team, Cameron may have chosen wisely by pledging his loyalty to the biggest and most popular football club in the Midlands. Although he has no real links with the midlands (born, educated and resides in the South-east), the seats in the Midlands are very marginal. Good choice for Cameron then?
