I need an explanation.. and help choosing the right monologue?

I am auditioning next week for the role of Atticus Finch in To Kill A Mockingbird. The director said she wants a 90 second monologue from the same time period. I am uming that she means.. the same time period as the "setting" of Mockingbird was meant to be in. That would be 1935.. Am I right in uming that?? Or do you think she might have meant when the play was written?? Anyway, auditions are next Sunday and Monday and I would really like to find something that would blow her away. She is a proffesional actress and director from a BIG city theatre.. I would love to make an impression.. PLEASE HELP!!!!
