Military affiliation?

Ok, Im on a Website as we speak on scholarships. Im only a sophmore in highschool so im a little bit confused.My father is a Marine Veteran but he does not live with me and The question asks me do i have any military veteran affiliation? my mother told me to put no because the way they asked the question before was Do i have any interest in being in the military? I dont, I want to be in fashion merchandising lol.Can someone please help. Do i have military veteran affiliation?
